    Emma is a PR strategist with over 25 years of experience in publishing, events and communications. She is highly networked throughout the industry, adept at crisis management, and leads on strategy and consultancy across our books business.

    Emma joined FMcM in 2018 having worked in UK publishing for 20 years across both publicity and editorial. As Publicity Director at Hutchinson, Penguin Random House, she led campaigns for an array of household name authors from politicians and Hollywood actors to debut novelists, poets and bestselling thriller writers.

  • Kealey Rigden

    Director of Media Relations

    Kealey is widely connected across the broadcast and journalistic landscape. An exceptional profile manager and crisis communications strategist, she manages many of our key clients, notably our prizes and our highest-profile authors, including Ruby Wax, Hadley Freeman and Marian Keyes, among many others. Ruby’s latest book I’m Not As Well As I Thought I Was became an immediate Sunday Times bestseller, following her high-profile campaign.

    Kealey joined FMcM after numerous publicity roles at publishing powerhouses Penguin Random House and Bloomsbury. She has been recognised by the PPC for her work on Becoming Beauvoir: A Life.

  • Sophie Goodfellow

    Head of Genre

    Sophie delivers perfectly-targeted fiction campaigns. Her primary focus on crime and historical fiction is supplemented by her expertise in French translated fiction. She is well-regarded for her author care and just knows the industry and its players really, really well.

    A publicist for over 13 years, Sophie has been a judge on the Crime Writers’ Association Short Story Dagger. Her recent clients include Capital Crime, the British Book Awards, World Book Day, Costa Book Prize winning author Monique Roffey, and Edward Carey, author of the critically acclaimed Little. Her French clients include Antoine Laurain and Muriel Barbery, authors of the most successful French novels in recent translation.

    Hope creates and implements high-quality campaigns for authors and prizes. Drawing from broad tastes, they craft bespoke campaigns by building compelling narratives around books and authors. This close collaboration with journalists creates engaging and thoughtful content, allowing clients to shine. By seeking non-traditional contacts, they create exciting opportunities with arts institutions, bookshops and creative initiative, providing their clients with the widest possible audience. They enjoy being close to the ground – engaging with booksellers and following trends to build highly-considered marketing campaigns across social media and partnerships. They have worked with the likes of Bad Form, Black Ballad UK, Dark Matter Marketing Agency and Worms Magazine to deliver innovative, impactful partnerships that serve readers first and support all collaborators.

    Hope’s publishing career began at Profile Books, the winner of a grant from the prestigious Mo Siewcharran Fund administered by Creative Access. Roles at Vintage Books and Picador Books followed.

  • Katrina Power

    Communications Consultant

    Katrina is an accomplished publicist, and with more than 30 years’ experience in the UK and internationally, is superbly connected throughout the publishing industry. She handles media relations, author events and publicity campaigns for fiction, and nonfiction notably science, history, biographies, illustration and business. She oversees publicity for leading global scientific, technical and medical publisher, Springer Nature.

    Katrina recently publicised Deborah Meaden‘s Why Money Matters, one of the first three books in the ground-breaking Little Experts series, aimed at children aged 6-9. Deborah’s book became an immediate Sunday Times bestseller.

  • Ned Green

    Communications Manager

    Ned delivers key functions for a wide-range of clients. He assists in media relations, stakeholder liaison, campaign delivery, marketing strategies, digital production, design work and video production. He is FMcM's resident poetry expert, and is currently working with Scarlett Sabet, Rishi Dastidar and the prestigious Forward Prizes for Poetry. He was joint-shortlisted for a PPC award in 2023 for his work on the Polari Prizes, the UK and Ireland’s only dedicated prize for LGBTQ+ literature.

    Ned joined the FMcM team in 2021, following internships in journalism and arts PR. A Media and Communications graduate from Goldsmiths, University of London, he has worked as a freelance book designer and editor, and runs his own independent publisher, Toothgrinder Press.

  • Izzy Warner

    Communications Assistant

    Izzy supports behind the scenes with anything and everything, using her tremendous enthusiasm, initiative and resourcefulness to enhance our campaigns. Her spot-on social media instincts bring creativity and flair to our digital campaigns.

    Izzy joined FMcM in 2023 after two years in communications in the third sector, first as the Social Media Manager at Gurls Talk and then as Communications Officer at SANE. She graduated from Magazine Journalism MA at City, University of London in 2022.

  • Antara Patel

    Communications Assistant

    Antara brings event curation and organisation skills from her previous role as a Waterstones bookseller. Her social media skills include micro-influencer engagement and she looks after administrative requirements across our projects.

    Antara joins FMcM following an editorial internship at Prospect Magazine. An English Literature graduate from University College London, she has worked as a bookseller, content writer and a research assistant in a theatrical history archive.
