Shortlists announced for 2018 CAMEO Awards - Creativity Across Media: Entertainment and Originality Awards
- London Book & Screen Week 2018 Ambassador Jojo Moyes, who was shortlisted in 2017, will be a special guest speaker at the 2018 CAMEO awards
- The winners will be announced on Monday 9 April in a ceremony at the Electric Cinema, Notting Hill, to coincide with the launch of the 2018 London Book & Screen Week (9-15 April)
Fifteen outstanding shortlistees are announced today in the second annual Creativity Across Media: Entertainment and Originality Awards (CAMEOs). Celebrating books at the heart of the creative industries, the awards recognise the best adaptations across TV, film, stage and game, including the new category for book to audio.

In a world where stories are being consumed in so many different forms, the CAMEOs recognise the adaptations that have made the most impact in the last calendar year. Judges base their decisions on criteria including, but not limited to: box office sales; review coverage; critiaL acclaim; social media profile; industry prize nominations and more.
Expert judges from all sectors of the entertainment industry deliberated across each of the categories. 2018 judges include Videl Bar Kar, Julian Friedmann, Hannah Griffiths, Eric Huang, John Lomas-Bullivant, Charlotte Longstaff, Helen MacAleer (chair), Jessica Maslen, Billy McQueen, Terri Paddock, Sophie Rochester, Douglas Schatz and Hayley Steed.
The CAMEO Awards mark the start of this year’s London Book & Screen Week (9 - 15 April 2018), kickstarting the seven day series of events celebrating books and the films, TV programmes and virtual worlds they inspire.
