Death of a She Devil by Fay Weldon out today
Everyone's talking about feminism and gender. But to make up your own mind, you need to discover the She Devil for yourself.
In 1983, Fay Weldon published her most famous book, The Life and Loves of a She Devil. Written in the teeth of the feminist revolution, it is a wickedly funny revenge fantasy about a woman seizing power in a male-dominated world.
But these days, it's women who have the power. What's more, they enjoy an easier life than men. So what would the She Devil look like now? The answer is in this brilliant sequel. Tyler Patchett is a new kind of 'heroine'. He's an ultra-confident, twenty-something man. But he won’t be satisfied with his life until he can transition into the ultimate symbol of power and status: a woman…
