Resonance FM announces exciting programme of live events for annual fundraiser

Resonance FM, the ground-breaking London-based community arts radio station, has announced a thrilling line-up of live events, taking place across the capital from 11-19 February as part of its annual fundraiser.  From music concerts including Gwaith Swn’s Sonic Art Gala the legendary Scratch Orchestra All Stars to ‘Club Integral Valentine's Day Special and Resofit’s stand-up comedy special with Daniel Kitson, Tony Law, Stewart Lee, Lewis Schaffer and Danielle Ward these events will bring the brilliantly eclectic and original range of programmes broadcast on Resonance FM every week to live audiences. There is something here for everyone with an interest in alternative music, art and culture.

Gwaith Sŵn's Sonic Art Gala | Aces & Eights Tufnell Park NW5 2HP|  Saturday 11 February at 8pm
An all-star evening of amazing sonic experimentation presented by sound-art collective Gwaith Sŵn, whose Sonic Darts is a regular fixture on Resonance FM. Featuring Rie Nakajima & Ken Ikeda + Phil Minton + Viewfound & Daniel R Wilson + Dan Linn-Pearl & Paul TQ Freeman. Tickets here.

 

Wavelength Roadshow|  Kansas Smitty's Hackney E8 4PH|  Monday 13 February at 7pm
Join William English for an extended edition of Wavelength,  a special live outing by Resonance FM's long-running "programme of multiple agendas" hosted by legendary performance artist Bob Parks (conceptual R&B, voodoo), with Adham Fisher & other guests from the cult underground. Tickets here.

 

Club Integral Valentine's Day Special|  Iklectik Lambeth SE1 7LG|  Tuesday 14 February at 7.30pm
Fourteen acts, each playing for fourteen minutes, courtesy of the ‘Home of the Uncategorisable’ that is Club Integral Radio Show - in a presentation with Resonance FM's Is Black Music. Tickets on the door.

 

Scratch Orchestra All Stars  |  Cafe OTO Dalston E8 3DL|  Wednesday 15 February at 7.30pm
Members of the legendary Scratch Orchestra come together for a rare night of mind-boggling musical anarchy - including John Tilbury, Stefan Szczelkun, Dave Smith, Hugh Shrapnel, Michael Parsons, Bryn Harris & Resonance FM's Sound Out anchor Carole Finer. Tickets here.

 

A World in London Fundraiser | Club Inégales Bloomsbury NW1 2NB | Thursday 16 February at 7pm
DJ Ritu presents a jam-packed evening of global music headlined by Japanese multi-percussionist and Taiko drummer Joji Hirota and featuring classical and world fusion ensemble iyatra Quartet, cinematic Celtic folk by Ailm and Nepalse fusion band Namlo. Tickets here

Also running throughout the week 11-19 February will be Resonance FM’s amazing online auction with bids invited for a range of exciting prizes including a Cocktail Masterclass at Alchemy, an annual pass to Baba Yaga’s Hut, an annual subscription to the London Review of Books plus other goodies and two tickets to an English National Opera production of Verdi’s Rigoletto.
