We do poetry
From our work across multi-disciplinary and specialist poetry prizes to our representation of emerging and well-established poets alike, we have a long history of helping poets break into new markets.
Our work with the Forward Prizes has pushed poetry up the media agenda, with 2023 coverage spanning the Guardian, Telegraph, Irish Times, BBC Radio 6, and the Irish Independent, following coverage in previous years on BBC Radio 4, BBC News Online, Granta, FT, Washington Post and New York Times, whilst also making poetry the most talked about subject on National Poetry Day.
Our collaboration with poet and writer Scarlett Sabet has led to high profile media coverage and performances around the world. In 2022 alone, Scarlett performed at Hay Festival with Dylan Jones and Jimmy Page, Cheltenham Literary Festival alongside Geoff Dyer, the Library of Congress in Washington D.C, Keats’ House with Simon Armitage and Hannah Sullivan, Lowell (US) for the Kerouac Centenary Festival, and at the Gulf of Poets Festival in Lerici. Our media coverage for Scarlett includes interviews and profiles in GQ, Elle, Vanity Fair, Telegraph, London Magazine, Tatler, Grazia and The New Yorker.
For Rishi Dastidar’s Laurel Prize-longlisted third collection Neptune’s Projects, we secured a partnership with global cap company New Era Caps and produced a prominent billboard campaign in London, as well as stand out coverage on BBC Radio London, Monocle Radio, LRB, The Idler, The Big Issue, Lit Hub and Soho Radio.
For award-winning poet Ruth Padel’s collection Beethoven Variations, we curated a sold-out event at the London Review Bookshop with Ondaatje Prize winner Anthony Anaxagorou and Raymond Antrobus, winner of the Ted Hughes Award and Rathbones Folio Prize.
FMcM has provided a pro-bono PR campaign for the Women Poets’ Prize since its inception, delivering a partnerships with the Telegraph, interviews on BBC radio, coverage in the Guardian and events and events at the National Centre for Writing.
