Crème de la Crime.
From debut writers to global bestsellers, FMcM has supported some of the most talented and exciting crime and thriller authors at all stages of their careers.
Our ongoing work with international bestseller Dean Koontz has rejuvenated his UK profile, via festival appearances, widespread book reviews and prominent national print features.
We also work with Mark Edwards, the four million bestselling author of Here to Stay and No Place to Run. For Marks most recent book Keep Her Secret, we secured national print reviews, radio and podcast interviews as well as event appearances including Harrogate Theakston Old Peculier Crime Festival, Waterstones Brighton, Capital Crime and Crime Cymru.
For critically acclaimed writing team Dreda Say Mitchell and Ryan Carter, our campaign focussed on promoting their excellent track record of delivering pacey, brilliant written thrillers, as well as their passionate championing of social issues which inspire their work. Coverage highlights included written features in Woman & Home, Guardian and interviews on BBC Radio 4 and Times Radio.
We are proud of our success with breakthrough authors, notably Emylia Hall, whose debut crime novel The Shell House Detectives was published to great acclaim in 2023, and debut novelist Tariq Ashkanani, whose 2021 thriller Welcome to Cooper was shortlisted for the Bloody Scotland Debut Prize and the CWA John Creasey Dagger. Other notable clients included award-winning Helen FitzGerald, whose ‘menopause noir’ thriller Worst Case Scenario was one of the critical hits of 2019, Claire McGowan, whose first true crime thriller The Vanishing Triangle launched in 2022, as well as international bestselling ‘King of Helsinki Noir’ Antti Tuomainen.
We’ve been thrilled to provide both PR and marketing for Capital Crime since its return in 2022, and 2023 saw its most successful ever festival. Celebrating the crime fiction genre and its legacy in London.
