Monocle brings quality of life conference to Zürich

The fourth annual MONOCLE Quality of Life Conference will be taking place in Zürich. From Thursday 28 to Saturday 30 June, the global media brand will bring entrepreneurs, architects, urbanists, designers and the media to Switzerland for three days of debate, conversation, networking and top hospitality.

Hosted by Tyler Brûlé, editor in chief and chairman, and the magazine’s editors, the MONOCLE Quality of Life Conference has become a must-visit congregation of the sharpest thinkers on liveability, city-making, and creating quality of life for all. Two hundred delegates from around the world are expected to travel to Zürich, which follows on from previous conferences in Lisbon, Vienna and Berlin.

MONOCLE's editors will join expert panels to unpack and rethink topics including apartment-block living and urban security, providing cross-discipline solutions, innovative thinking and expertise not accessible anywhere else.

This year there will be challenges to the idea that driverless cars  will be a success, and MONOCLE will look at how to invest in art, design and architecture, meet the start-ups who need backing, and look at  the people hoping to  engineer safer cities. The conference will also gather key Swiss voices to explain the country’s unique views on everything from neutrality to health, as well as host a series of one-on-one “big interviews”. It will be a fast-paced and inspiring occasion.

The conference represents MONOCLE’s belief that the best connections are forged not sitting behind a screen but in person – and that the best networking isn’t happening on social media platforms but over a chilled glass of white wine.

The programme for the 2018 MONOCLE Quality of Life Conference will be announced in the coming days. Early-bird tickets are now available from conference.monocle.com
