The Ruppin Agency announces new translation rights partnership with the Marsh Agency

The Ruppin Agency has today announced a new partnership with the Marsh Agency, to handle its translation rights.  Founded in 2017 by former bookseller Jonathan Ruppin, the recently-launched agency will represent both fiction and non-fiction, with a particular focus on discovering voices underrepresented in British publishing.

Commenting on the new partnership, Jonathan Ruppin said: "I'm delighted to be working with The Marsh Agency, as Susie Nicklin and her team share my determination to broaden the range of voices represented on bookshop shelves. I've always been keen to promote the cross-border appeal of literature, both as a bookseller and through my work with English PEN, so I'm very glad of their expertise in the global market, especially at a time when Britain is in danger of turning its back on the wider world."

Susie Nicklin, CEO of the Marsh Agency, said: “I have enjoyed discussing books and writing with Jonathan, hearing his insights into contemporary literature and his plans to harness his experience in his new agency. I am delighted that he has chosen to work with The Marsh Agency for his translation rights and look forward to developing our association.”
