Submissions are now open for this year’s Polari First Book Prize, which celebrates the very best debut books that explore the LGBT experience, whether through poetry, prose, fiction or non-fiction.

The Bookseller today announced the ten titles on the shortlist for The YA Book Prize 2017.

Curtis Brown’s Nick Marston and WhatsOnStage.com founder Terri Paddock will join a cross-section of creative industry professionals including digital film makers, literary editors and theatre programmers on the judging panel for the inaugural CAMEO awards.

Front Row’s Samira Ahmed, television presenter June Sarpong, past Publishers Association c.e.o. Simon Juden, former Little, Brown chief executive Ursula Mackenzie, authors Peter James, Lorraine Pascale, Dreda Say Mitchell and Fanny Blake, and literary journalists Andrew Holgate, Arifa Akbar and Claire Armitstead are among the judges for the British Book Awards 2017.
